Bert and Ernie Are Not Gay...

I have noticed that Its Jims has become a little serious of late. My apologies for this but there have been a few things that needed to be said.

Moving on I am going to continue with the Injustice theme by posing you a question, that is "Should Bert and Ernie get married"?

These residents of Sesame Street have been living together now for over 40 years and some gay rights groups are questioning their sexual orientation and have made an on-line petition which they plan to give to Sesame Street officials asking that the pair be married. Although this would show our young that it is OK for people of the same-sex to love each other and be openly married to each other.

Bert and Ernies agents have said "Bert and Ernie are best friends," the statement posted on Sesame Street's Facebook page reads. "They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves."

The statement continues: "Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets™ do), they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation."

The decision is of course is ultimately in the hands of Bert and his friend Ernie.
