I have taken to writing scripts or at least notes for my videos on YouTube to stop me going off topic and so I don't repeat myself. One of this first videos I scripted was my Bad childhood video
The original script is below, you can see how I didn't stick 100% to it but that is ok as it acted like a framework for my video.
I have never accepted the excuse "I had a bad childhood" as a reason for getting into trouble as an adult, to me it is just a poor excuse.
So let me explain why I think this kind of reasoning is floored.
I was born in 1967 in Wedgeburg, West Germany (Note: My Dad was a Light gunner in the British army, so I am have British citizenship, so to all those who went to the same school as me, no I am not a Nazi and no my Dad is not Hitler, he was actually called Francis).
Anyway, from what I have been told, my Mom blamed my Dad for getting her pregnant and ruining her life and she blamed me for making her fat.
Moving on a few years, obviously my Mom and Dad were divorced. My Mom moved back to Portsmouth and my Dad moved back to Boston with me (I think). From what I have been told my Dad doted on me.
Anyway, one day my dad got a letter from the courts in Newcastle ordering him to bring me to Newcastle as my Mom wanted to see if I was OK. What he didnt know was that a custody hearing had taken place without him and my Mom had won full custody of me.
At least, this is what I have been told, I was also told that my Dad had kidnapped me from my Uncles garden and took me back to Boston.
I do remember screaming in the courts for my Dad, saying that I wanted to stay with him. I also remember my Mom telling my Dad "You ruined my life, now I have ruined yours" just before she told someone to take me out of my Dads arms, I was reaching over this persons shoulders, trying to get back to my Dad.
This was just the beginning and just one of the reasons that, unless you were abused in some way as a child, I can not accept "I had a bad childhood" as an excuse for being a bad adult.
I dont like ending my videos on a downer so I thought it would be nice to see a clip of some puppies and kittens, to end this video on a happier note. I want to thank David Latt from The Asylum for letting me use this clip, Kellita...
I had wanted a clip of Znations Kellita Smith (Warren) saying "Puppies and Kittens" before she and the other members of the cast moved in to kill some zombies, but try as I might I could not find it, so instead made some small edits to the clip I used in stead.
