How To Put On A Gas Mask (The Script).

In today's video I will be showing you how to put on a respirator in the correct way.
(Intro)
There may be a time when you need to make sure that you are not breathing in harmful toxins,  chemicals or that dog fart  foofoo has just created.
Of course you could tie a bandanna or scarf around your nose and mouth.
But what if that is not enough?
What if only a respirator or Gas mask will do?

If you don't put your respirator on in the correct way you may as well not wear one.

Today I will show you the correct way to put on your respirator.

First thing you should remember is that once on if there are ANY gaps between the respirator edges and your skin then the chemicals, toxins or dog fart could get in.

So that cool goatee or man beard you have been cultivating could be the death of you.

To put on your respirator you first thing you need to do is take a deep breath and hold it.

holding onto the straps and pull it over your face and head checking all round the respirator to make sure that you don't have any parts tucked under.

Once you're sure that there are no gaps and that the respirator has been firmly placed around your head and face you should shout, usually you are advised to shout Gas, Gas, Gas..
this serves two purposes, the first is to push out any harmful chemicals or toxic gasses from your gas mask and the second reason is to alert anyone who should be in your area that there is toxic gases or chemicals in the area and that they to should equip their gas masks.

of course you are not expected to shout anything if you are hiding from a horde of zombies or infected, instead you should make a sharp and fast exhale, emptying your lungs and so pushing any toxic gasses from your gas mask.

Now that you've successfully put your gas mask on you can carry on with your day to day activities as normal.

Until next time
Take care of yourself
Be excellent to each other
And don't forget to be awesome.
Bye
