Moving From Wordpress to Blogger

Its taken a while but all of my posts have been transferred now and what I time I had doing it. Once I had exported my posts from WordPress, just short of 4 mb worth (which is fairly small when you consider I have been blogging for over 5 years now) I headed over to Worpdpress2Blogger to convert the file into something that Blogger would accept. My first attempt to convert my .XML file failed which I had expected because the site wont convert anything bigger than 1 meg.

I tried breaking the file down by deleting some of my more crappy posts and exporting two separate files but I was met with a variety of error messages. In the end I had to export my posts by category and convert each file separately before I could upload them to blogger, all 15 of them.

All in all it took me about 20 minutes to do and at the moment I have to say it is well worth it with my page views jumping from around 10-15 a day to a staggering 205 yesterday and 74 visitors all ready today and its only 05:42 in the morning (yeah I know its early, by daughter is not well).

Over the last few days I have moved my two main blogs to Blogger and so far I have no regrets at all, I still have one blog which I have left on WordPress so I don't feel too bad about leaving them for their biggest competitor. The only thing that I need to do now is to try and sort my theme out which I will be doing over the next few weeks.

I have it so good..

Let me give you a quick update before I start, trying he kitchen? It's still being put together, we just need the kitchen units fastened...
