This is my third attempt at writing this. Anyway while our youngest daughter plays tea party with her Nana and big brother I will try again.
So, after months of build up Xmas for us anyway was over in about 15 minutes or so, leaving a mess of wrapping paper and box which stretched from one end of the room to the other. Once most of the fallout had been cleared we set off to see my in-law where the cherubs recreated wrapping paper chaos.
Anyway moving on the kids have had a fantastic Xmas, presents, cake, sweets on tap so all is good and ultimately that is all that matters.
As for me? To be honest I'm glad its all over, the tree and decorations were took down this afternoon and put back in the loft to fester until next year when we will do it all over again. Only thing left now is New years eve and once that is out the way we can all get on with doing what we do, without the pretence of giving a dam about them over the road who we don't even acknowledge when we pass them in the town. Yep, by now you've probably gathered I don't like Christmas and new years eve that much, spoils a perfectly good season if you ask me, would probably be a better place without it. Unless your a retail store then your buggered after all let's face it the only ones who look forward to Christmas are kids (bless em) and the retail stores who love the "have to spend more" mentality that we all seem to aquire at this time of year. We "must" spend more, eat more and drink more than we usually would, why? IT'S CHRISTMAS!
Then as if we have not spent enough over the silly season we are hit with the Bank holiday and January sales. No! You already have all our money! Leave me ALONE!
Anyway, hope you all had a good one.
